			A three player Multi-play Map
			  Wind Speed 1000 to 3000
			Gravity 75 8 x 8 Map
			  TAMEChpi2000.hpi required
			     TACC not required

Ever try and get a 4 player multi-play game in only to have
one player get cut off before the game begins over and over till you
just say, "Lets free for all (FFA) with three."? Happens to me TOO
often. Notice how very little maps there are that are suited to a
decent 3 player FFA? In this map I attempt to create a small FFA map,
that looks decent and plays well to help with that problem. Skirmish
play is ok here, but I find it a bit easy really, but this map is not
really designed for skirmish, but for 3 player multi-play FFA.
There are only three start positions, all on the central land
mass, all seperated by thick growths of trees. There is three metal
patches fairly close to the start positions, and one that is not as
close, but within your section. There is another section on the land
mass seperated by trees from all start positions with a few more
patches, but that is it. None of the islands have metal patches, nor
is there any on the blue ice which borders the land mass. There are
no steam vents on the land mass either, though steam vents are present
in large numbers, and since wind is not great, they will most likely
be your prevelant source of energy and metal making.
About the ice on this map. There are two differant types of
ice on this map, both made from unique tiles of my own design. This
world is frozen so solidly that the regular blue ice, which I also used
in my map "Frosty Freeze", can be walked on, built on, and generally be
treated as land can be. It is completely barren though, as with real
ice, and contains no metal deposits, trees, or any other features. The
other sort of ice here is my newly designed "slick ice". Because of geo
thermal vents under the ice, the surface of these ice patches has been
regularly warmed and refrozen. It is also slipperyer then the other ice,
and too thin to build on, though it can be walked on and driven on by
your units. This is accomplished by makeing all slick ice patches very
shallow water, so shallow as to not really be noticeable by eye, but
enough water to prevent building and slow the units that travel over it.
An exception to not being able to build on the slick ice is where ever
thermal activity under the ice actually cracks the ice. In these spots
it creates a geothermal vent in the surface of the ice itself. This
creates a build-up of ice around these vents, which are prevelant on this
map, and your only source of thermal power. Not only is there enough room
to build a geo over these vents, but you should be able to place a few
defenses very close to it also. The vents are in an .hpi file I included
with this map, in the file "blue_ice_vents.hpi" and should be extracted
to your Totala directory along with the map itself.
You will find this map uniqe, if nothing else, as none like it
has yet exsisted before it. It is actually the template I used to cut most
of the tiles from for a new tile set add-on to the Winter Evergreen set
by C_A_P and SirAC that I am making. With the exception of any blue or
slick ice tiles in this map, all others have been modified from their
fine tile set. This addon set I am createing will actually contain more
tiles then the original set it will add-on to, and may take awhile to
finish yet. I will be createing a large map with these tiles when it is
though. Good Luck, and Have Fun!
